But this five-star property completely changed my perspective on what luxury hospitality looks like in Chongqing. The setting along Wenquan Road feels almost resort-like — you’re surrounded by natural hot springs and rolling hills that make you forget you’re still technically in one of China’s largest metropolitan areas.

What sets this place apart is actually its connection to the area’s famous hot springs culture. The hotel sits right in Beibei’s hot spring district, and I mean, you can literally feel the difference in the air quality here. The spa facilities tap directly into these natural thermal waters, which locals have been using for centuries. I spent hours in the hot tub area, and you know what? It’s not just some fancy amenity — these waters actually have therapeutic properties that you can feel working on your muscles after a long day of exploring.

Accommodations and Amenities

My room was spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out over the surrounding mountains — something you definitely don’t get in downtown Chongqing hotels. The design strikes this perfect balance between modern luxury and subtle Chinese elements without feeling overdone. There’s free parking on site, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving (and trust me, you’ll want a car to explore this area properly). The fitness center is well-equipped, though I’ll admit I spent more time in the spa than working out.

Dining and Local Access

Breakfast here is quite impressive — they offer continental, Asian, and buffet options that actually cater to both international guests and local tastes. The restaurant serves excellent Sichuan cuisine, but what I really appreciated was how the staff could recommend authentic local spots within walking distance. Beibei has this charming old town feel that most visitors to Chongqing never experience, and the hotel’s location puts you right in the heart of it.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something genuinely romantic about the setting, especially in the evenings when the thermal springs create this misty atmosphere around the property. The service feels personal rather than corporate, and the staff genuinely knows the area well enough to help you discover hidden gems. It’s far enough from the urban chaos to feel like a retreat, but close enough that you can still access Chongqing’s main attractions when you want to. For anyone looking to experience a different side of this massive city while enjoying genuine luxury amenities, this place delivers in ways that surprised me.

  Site idéale pour les amoureux de la nature et du spa/détente (cure thermal avec bassins parfumés et colores). Personnel au petit soin. Photographe sur place pour faire des photos des enfants en tenue d'époque. Le personnel parle très bien anglais. Chambres très spacieuses et magnifiques.

  设施还不错，给我们升级了住宿。别墅阳台的温泉水是恒温且流动的，方便又卫生。整个酒店在一个山坳里，进去就能感觉出大酒店的气场。所处地域比较幽静，是那种超一流酒店经常选的位置。
  
  What could be improved: 我们住的时候不是节假日，人特别少，从车场就能看出来。可能因为人少吧，自助早餐都取消了，让自己点餐在屋里吃，第一次遇到这种事情。第一天联系酒店点餐，酒店告知不用点了，直接配送，种类一般。服务水平很一般，真的没想到。开电瓶车的小哥哥都还不错，特别有一个特别热情，还给我们推荐了附近的金刚村，告诉了我们名字给忘记了，实在不好意思。其他员工真是一言难尽，你跟路上打扫的人说让收一下早餐的餐具，会告诉你他不是餐厅的，让自己找餐厅的，还有各种各样的事情，让人真无语，没想到超一流酒店的服务是这个样子

  Staff working at the hotel are all very nice and friendly, especially Eric at the reception. The concierge boys are very kind, as well as the cleaning ladies and they always great you with a smile. I had dinner at Mingyue Restaurant and the food was exceptional, very well done chef and waiters! Pet's Paradise is a must to visit, animals are kept very well and the guardian will introduce to you each and every one of them. He really takes good care of the animals.

  The atmosphere of this property is excellent, it's quiet, calm, and everything you can imagine about quality vacation. Staff are very helpful, always down to assist you with your needs. Breakfast was good as well, small but it covers various range of food you can think of. Terrace and the tub was the best part, especially on rainy days in Beibei.
  
  What could be improved: Lobby bar was closed due to covid and the location of this property is not l exactly the best. If you need to buy anything, you will have to get out of the area and it is quite challe to catch or call a cab.
