The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d hope for from a well-run three-star property. The windows offer decent views of the surrounding area, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or anything fancy, but the shower has good pressure and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes.

The Asian breakfast spread surprised me in the best way possible. Instead of trying to cater to every possible taste, they focus on doing Chinese breakfast really well — congee that’s actually creamy, fresh steamed buns, and pickled vegetables that add the right tang to start your day. There’s no pretense here, just solid food that feels appropriate for the setting. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re an early riser, you’ll have more space to yourself.

  I spent three days in Chongqing, and this hotel is by far my favorite. It's designed in the style of a traditional Chinese courtyard, with wooden structures everywhere. The moment I stepped in, it felt like I was immersed in traditional Chinese culture. The hotel incorporates elements of Zen culture. Whenever I sit in the courtyard during my free time, I feel incredibly at ease.
  
  I also stumbled upon a hidden gem. It's about a 20 – minute walk from the hotel to Tongyuanzhiguang. Along the way, there are so many interesting little shops, and I got to observe the daily lives of the locals. It was full of life and energy. When I finally reached Tongyuanzhiguang, the view took my breath away. This 8D magical city really lives up to its name. The skyscrapers, winding streets, and the Yangtze River blend together to form a breathtakingly beautiful picture. I've never seen such a unique cityscape anywhere else. It's really mind – blowing!
  
  I'm really looking forward to having an equally amazing experience in Chengdu.
