The Room Experience

My room was genuinely impressive, with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase Chongqing’s dramatic skyline. The attention to detail surprised me — from the quality of the linens to the way the lighting was designed to actually be functional, not just atmospheric. You know what I mean about hotel lighting usually being terrible for anything practical? Well, they actually got it right here. The marble bathroom felt indulgent without being over-the-top, and the shower pressure was exactly what you hope for after a long day exploring the city.

The restaurant serves both international cuisine and regional Sichuan specialties — honestly, don’t skip the local dishes because they know what they’re doing with authentic flavors. I was impressed by how they managed to create sophisticated versions of traditional Chongqing cuisine without losing the soul of the dishes. The spa facilities are top-notch too, which became essential after walking around this hilly city for hours. There’s also a well-equipped fitness center that actually has windows (small thing, but it makes such a difference).

  Very friendly staff, all of them helped with any issues that came up. Clean hotel. Big room. Quiet. The AC wasn't cold enough for me but they provided a portable ac unit and my stay was very pleasant. I recommend it.

  Fantastic and Beautiful Hotel with friendly staff. Large rooms with comfortable beds.
  We enjoyed the ambience and the gym was a bonus also. We will be back in the future hopefully.

  Comfy room. Location was convenient for my requirements. One of the only hotels that replied to my emails asking if they accepted foreigners.
  
  What could be improved: Communication is difficult when nobody speaks English but whereas in most hotels I've stayed so far in China the staff are helpful, here they did the bare minimum or were even rude. The staff in the restaurant were particularly unpleasant, laughing at me when I tried to ask for food using a translate app, and with one member of staff then going over to others to point at me and laugh more. I walked out and bought food elsewhere.

  A beautiful, impressive hotel. Reception hall is grand but still welcoming. The room was very clean with great facilities, there was even a mini tumble dryer in the room.
