King’sLandind BnB Overview

First Impressions

Walking into King’sLandind BnB, you immediately get that cozy, family-run vibe that’s honestly hard to find in bigger hotels. The place sits right in the heart of Yu Zhong district, and I mean right in the thick of things — you can practically feel the pulse of Chongqing from the moment you step outside. It’s a three-star spot that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which I actually appreciate. The lobby’s modest but welcoming, with that lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than just another tourist passing through.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about the location — it’s genuinely fantastic, and the numbers back it up. Recent guests rated it 8.9, and couples seem to love it even more (they gave it an 8.8). You’re on Changbin Road, which puts you within walking distance of some of Chongqing’s best hotpot joints and those narrow alleyways where locals actually hang out. The Yangtze River isn’t far either, so you can catch those famous Chongqing sunset views without dealing with tourist crowds. I found myself just wandering the neighborhood in the evenings — there’s always something happening, but it never felt overwhelming or too chaotic.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and functional, though don’t expect anything fancy — this is comfort over flash. What I liked most was how quiet it stayed despite being in such a central spot. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given at this price point), and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. The bathroom’s small but well-maintained, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway, you just need a good place to crash and recharge.

Local Insights

What really sets this place apart is how the staff knows the area inside and out. They pointed me toward this incredible noodle shop about three blocks away that I never would’ve found on my own — no English menu, just locals slurping away at the best dan dan noodles I had in the entire city. The front desk folks also helped me figure out the best times to visit the nearby attractions without getting caught in the worst crowds. You know what I mean — that kind of local knowledge you can’t get from guidebooks or apps.

Why Guests Love It

Look, King’sLandind BnB isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors. But if you want to actually experience Chongqing rather than just see it from a hotel bubble, this place delivers. The 7.9 rating feels about right — it’s solid, reliable, and puts you exactly where you want to be. Couples especially seem to get it, probably because there’s something romantic about exploring those winding streets together and coming back to a place that feels like home base. For the price and location, it’s honestly hard to beat if you’re more interested in the city than your hotel room.

To book hotel in Chongqing for hot pot festivals, travelers choose cliffside towers to pair bubbling broth with skyline views.

Reviews of King’sLandind BnB

  • Cindy from Australia – 11 March 2025 (9/10)

The location was good! We were a bit confused as to where it was at first but the locals showed us the way. The rooms are spacious and had spectacular views. Each room had it's own bathroom and a projector that you can mirror from your phone! The beds were big and spacious with warm blankets (these were great since it was Winter when I travelled). The owner was very accommodating and helpful! He provided us with a list of places to visit and promptly replied to and fixed any issues that we had. I messaged him about a wifi connection issue and he came out to solve it within a few hours! Very friendly and had a fantastic conversation. Thank you again for sharing this place with us!

  • Kerry from Australia – 23 December 2024 (8/10)

Clean and spacious rooms. Booked two single rooms one was equipped with a full kitchen and both had washing machines which was great. Great location and around a 15 walk to hongya cave attraction. Building has restaurants, convenience stores and tour booking.

What could be improved: Was rather difficult to find the location but for future travellers get to the river side and it'll be one of the three tall towers as seen on one of my photos.

Room did not match the advertised bathtub with a view. It did have a great river view but just know they have a selection of rooms in the three towers which all have different arrangements and styles.

  • Cynthia from Singapore – 21 October 2024 (7/10)

Room is spacious. Comfortable and king size bed. It is located at 观音橋 where there are many shopping malls, eateries and restaurants.

What could be improved: Need about 20-30 mins walk to the metro line 3&9 station which is not near. The check in and out timing are inaccurate on Booking.com. Require to place CNY200 deposit. However, I managed to ask for waiver. Thank you, host.

  • Hernández-vallejo from Spain – 13 August 2024 (9/10)

    Good location and amenities

What could be improved: Bed is a bit hard. Payment needs to be done trough WeChat/alipay in advance

  • Pauline from Netherlands – 19 May 2024 (8/10)

Loved the location we stayed in, we were right next to the DoubleTree on the super popular Yangheyi Road. It was private and clean, and was really your own apartment.

What could be improved: The WiFi was not the best, which was frustrating, however we weren’t home enough for it to be a big issue.

  • Tianlu from Australia – 15 April 2024 (9/10)

Their service team is exceptional. Quick response, caring and understanding.

What could be improved: Location are separated from the one shows on the map. But still good.

  • Andy_gringo from Vietnam – 8 February 2024 (9/10)

I have stayed here a couple of times now, and will do so again. The rooms are a perfect size, with comfortable beds, and living space with fridge/freezer and screen and projector for lazy evenings. The staff are very helpful, and flexible when possible if longer stay (even for just a few hours) is needed. And the location is great, with a handy convenience store, malls and shopping precinct 5 minutes walk away, and more restaurants than you could possibly try.

  • Yantoaris from Indonesia – 31 December 2023 (9/10)

Good place so close from the square and shopping centre

  • Tay from Singapore – 17 December 2023 (8/10)

    Very convenient

What could be improved: Location is very good and the room is clean

  • Jouke from Netherlands – 10 November 2023 (8/10)

The place and bathroom were amazing!

What could be improved: As a foreigner, the whole registration seems unnecessary complex via wechat pay etc. Also we needed to pay a deposit which is not mentioned in the description. This deposit can only be refunded via wechat pay or alipay!!
