Mcsrh Hotel-Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Mcsrh Hotel-Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, I’ll be honest — the name’s a bit of a mouthful, but the location absolutely makes up for it. This three-star spot sits right in the thick of things on the second floor of a commercial building, which might sound odd, but actually works perfectly for what it is. You’re literally steps away from all the action on Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, and I mean that — you can hear the buzz of the city right outside.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying here: you’re in the absolute heart of Chongqing, and that 9.3 location score isn’t just marketing fluff. The Jiefangbei area is where locals and tourists mix, especially in the evenings when the neon lights kick in and the street food vendors set up shop. I spent most of my time just wandering around the pedestrian zone — there’s this energy that’s hard to find in other parts of the city. Plus, couples seem to really dig this area (they rate it 8.9, which honestly makes sense given all the romantic spots nearby).
The Room Experience
The room itself is pretty straightforward — clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything you actually need. What surprised me was how quiet it could be despite being right in the commercial district. The windows face different directions depending on which room you get, so you might catch views of the bustling street life or the more residential side streets. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathroom’s compact but well-designed. You know what? Sometimes simple just works.
Getting Around and Practical Stuff
One thing that really stood out was how easy it is to navigate from here. The metro connections are solid, and if you’re planning day trips to places like Hongya Cave or the Yangtze River cable car, you’re already positioned perfectly. Parking can be a bit tricky since you’re in such a central spot, but honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway — everything’s walkable or a quick ride away. The staff speaks decent English, which helps when you’re trying to figure out the best local spots to hit.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating really shows, and I think it comes down to expectations versus reality. This isn’t trying to be something it’s not — it’s a solid, well-located place that gets you right into the action without breaking the bank. The Minsheng Road address puts you in walking distance of some incredible Sichuan restaurant options (seriously, the hotpot places around here are insane), and you’re close enough to the river that evening strolls become part of your routine. For couples especially, there’s something nice about being able to just step outside and immediately be part of the city’s rhythm instead of having to commute to where things are happening.
Exploring Chongqing blends terraced neighborhoods, tunnel markets, and tea houses steaming through the fog.

Reviews of Mcsrh Hotel-Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street
Tony from Indonesia – 15 April 2025 (8/10)
Hidden gem although located in the old building but the hotel exactly the same with the picture. Modern, clean and full equipment. But, something I wonder, we stay for 3 nights there, the house keeping never tidy up our bed, although they clean the bathroom and floor.
Sarah from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Quieter rooms at the back of the hotel. Don’t be put off by the entrance (quite standard in China) this hotel is great value for money and in a super location near the pedestrian area.

The rooms were new like the pictures. Super clean and very comfortable. Glad to be able to rest in a nice room after a full day out. The staff were friendly and cleaners super efficient. This hotel is great!
What could be improved: The ground floor of the building is very messy. Not part of the hotel. Big contrast to the hotel which on the second floor is very nice.Jasleen from United Kingdom – 24 March 2025 (9/10)
Great location, lovely staff, super clean, was a comfortable stay.
What could be improved: Was happy with the hotel itself, no complaints – but was unlucky with noisy neighbours speaking loudly in the corridor during unsociable hours.Victoria from United States – 16 March 2025 (10/10)
Loved everything about this hotel. Location was perfect, room was clean, modern and spacious, staff was very kind and helpful. There was a Lawson next to the hotel and it was walking distance or a quick Didi to many sites. I would 100% recommend this hotel
What could be improved: Everything was perfectPeter from Australia – 11 March 2025 (8/10)
Location was excellent, so was the front desk staff, they were always helpful and smiling. Whilst parts of the hotel were a little untidy, the rooms had been recently renovated, tastefully decorated. and very comfortable.
What could be improved: Only the areas which hadn’t been renovated..Xin from Taiwan – 2 March 2025 (9/10)
環境整潔、設備完善、人員友好
What could be improved: 窗邊會聞到外面餐廳料理油煙味,隔音較差。Bibiana from Spain – 8 February 2025 (10/10)
