Honestly, the location is what makes this place special. You’re right in the heart of Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, which is basically Chongqing’s Times Square. Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by shopping, street food vendors, and that incredible urban energy that makes this city so addictive. The famous Liberation Monument is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and you know what? Being this central in Chongqing without paying five-star prices feels like you’re getting away with something. Couples especially seem to love it here — and I get why, because there’s something romantic about being in the thick of all that neon-lit action.

The Rooms

The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, which is exactly what you’d expect in this part of the city where every square meter costs a fortune. Everything feels fresh and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re above one of the busiest pedestrian areas in China. The bathrooms are modern and functional — nothing fancy, but they work perfectly well. What I really appreciated was how clean everything was, and the air conditioning actually keeps up with Chongqing’s notorious humidity, which isn’t always a given in this price range.

Neighborhood Perks

Being in Yuzhong District means you’re connected to everything that matters in Chongqing. The metro stations are close by, so getting to other parts of the city is straightforward. But honestly, you might not want to leave the area much because there’s so much happening right outside your door. Late-night hot pot? There are dozens of options within walking distance. Shopping? You’re surrounded by it.

The whole pedestrian street comes alive at night, and there’s something pretty magical about watching the city light up from this vantage point.

With a 9.2 rating, this three-star hotel is clearly doing something right, and I think it comes down to delivering exactly what travelers actually want — a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location without breaking the bank. The staff seems genuinely helpful, and the whole experience feels more personal than what you’d get at a big chain hotel.   Hidden gem although located in the old building but the hotel exactly the same with the picture. Modern, clean and full equipment. But, something I wonder, we stay for 3 nights there, the house keeping never tidy up our bed, although they clean the bathroom and floor.

  Great location, clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Quieter rooms at the back of the hotel. Don’t be put off by the entrance (quite standard in China) this hotel is great value for money and in a super location near the pedestrian area.

  The rooms were new like the pictures. Super clean and very comfortable. Glad to be able to rest in a nice room after a full day out. The staff were friendly and cleaners super efficient. This hotel is great!

  Loved everything about this hotel. Location was perfect, room was clean, modern and spacious, staff was very kind and helpful. There was a Lawson next to the hotel and it was walking distance or a quick Didi to many sites. I would 100% recommend this hotel

  Location was excellent, so was the front desk staff, they were always helpful and smiling. Whilst parts of the hotel were a little untidy, the rooms had been recently renovated, tastefully decorated. and very comfortable.
