Plus, they’ve got private parking, which is actually a big deal in this part of the city where finding a spot can be a nightmare.

The Room Experience

My room was on the 8th floor, and while it wasn’t huge, it was thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable enough — firm but not rock-hard — and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a mid-range hotel. What I really appreciated was the attention to details like good lighting and plenty of outlets near the bed. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which is crucial during Chongqing’s humid summers. The windows offered a decent view of the bustling street below, though if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to pack earplugs since this area stays pretty lively until late.

Exploring the Neighborhood

One of the best parts about staying here is how easy it makes exploring Chongqing’s highlights. Hongyadong is literally a two-minute walk — I timed it — and trust me, seeing those traditional buildings cascading down the cliff face is worth the trip alone. The Yangtze River cableway is also within walking distance, and if you’re into hotpot (which, let’s be honest, you have to try in Chongqing), there are some incredible local spots nearby that most tourists never find. The hotel staff actually gave me directions to this hole-in-the-wall place that served the most authentic mapo tofu I’ve ever had.

  Staffs did informed the property are undergoing some reno during day time from 9am to 6pm. But it doesn’t affect much our stay as we went out around 10am daily. Location was great and staffs are welcoming
