The hotel sits right along Binjiang Road in Hejia Village, and there’s something genuinely welcoming about the way it’s tucked into this quieter part of Chongqing. The fact that they offer free parking immediately caught my attention — anyone who’s driven in Chinese cities knows that’s actually a big deal.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s where this place really shines, and I mean really shines. The location scored a 9.8 from recent guests, which honestly makes sense once you spend time here. You’re close enough to Southwest University that you can easily explore the campus area, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get a more authentic feel for local life. The Jialing River is right there — I actually enjoyed morning walks along the waterfront before the city fully woke up. Couples seem to love this spot particularly, and I can see why; there’s something romantic about being near the water without all the hustle of downtown.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but everything worked exactly as it should. The beds are firm (which I personally prefer), and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during Chongqing’s humid summer months. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was at night, despite being in a city of millions. The windows face toward the river area, so you get decent natural light during the day. It’s the kind of space where you can actually relax after a long day of exploring, rather than feeling like you’re just crashing somewhere.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup here surprised me in the best way possible. They’ve got vegetarian and vegan options — which, let me tell you, isn’t always easy to find in this part of China. The Asian buffet has local Chongqing specialties alongside more familiar items, so you can ease into the local flavors or dive right in. I actually grabbed breakfast to go a couple of mornings when I wanted to catch the sunrise by the river. The restaurant staff seemed genuinely happy to accommodate different dietary needs, which made the whole experience more relaxed.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t a flashy international chain, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The staff treats you like a person rather than a room number, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels connected to its neighborhood. The combination of riverside location, solid amenities, and that surprisingly excellent breakfast creates an experience that’s way better than the star rating might suggest. Plus, when you’re getting free parking and a 10-rated property at three-star prices, you’re honestly getting incredible value for your money in a city like Chongqing.
