When I first pulled up to Building 15 in the International Creative Harbor Park, I wasn’t entirely sure I was in the right place — but that’s actually part of its charm. This three-star property has managed to carve out something special in Chongqing’s Shapingba District, and you can tell from the moment you walk in that they’re doing things a bit differently here.

Location & Neighborhood

What really works about this spot is how it bridges two completely different sides of Chongqing. You’re close enough to Chongqing University that you get that vibrant student energy, but Ciqikou Ancient Town is also within reach when you want to dive into traditional architecture and street food. The Shabin Road location means you’re not stuck in the touristy center, but you’re not isolated either. I mean, couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, and I get why — there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels authentically local rather than designed purely for tourists.

The Room Experience

The room setup here surprised me in the best way. You know what I wasn’t expecting? How quiet it actually gets at night, considering you’re in a creative park complex. The rooms feel more like modern apartment living than traditional hotel accommodations, which works really well if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. The design leans contemporary without trying too hard, and honestly, the space feels bigger than you’d expect from a three-star property in this price range.

Breakfast & Dining

Here’s where they really seem to understand their guests — the breakfast spread covers vegetarian, halal, Asian, and buffet options, which is pretty thoughtful for a hotel this size. I’ve stayed at much more expensive places that couldn’t manage that kind of variety. The Asian options actually taste authentic rather than watered down for international palates, and if you’re vegetarian or have dietary restrictions, you won’t feel like an afterthought here. The restaurant area gets busy during breakfast hours, but it’s the good kind of busy where you can tell locals are mixing with hotel guests.

  The staff was incredibly kind and accomodating, especially Lucky and Rebecca were lovely and extremely helpful when planning our activities.
  The hotel is situated in a calm area next to the university and close to Chonquing Ancient town. All other places can be reached by taxi, subway or by foot.
  The room was quiet and very clean.
  A place i will return to if i get to visit Chonquing again. We really felt at home away from home 🙂

  It is not a surprised to maintain consistently 10.0 with over 100 reviews, Rebecca and the team have strived for the best for the guests and are always ready to go extra miles. Good selection of local breakfast including freshly cooked chongqing noodles upon order, options of tea, freshly ground coffee, being attentive to our need during the stay, good advice and even written instructions for the tour, sending us to the train station, accompanying us to bus station and showing us how to take bus, setting up payment methods in China, reminding us on the safety precautions, free laundry everyday, additional tea in the room with lovely teapot…non-exhausting list to what the team has tried to make our stay the best stay ever.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing, even though the location is slightly away from central of bustling chongqing, it is still the best location to get a quiet accommodation, possible to access bus to Ciqikou with 10min walk, and taking taxi by apps is so convenient, and it is very affordable in Chongqing to take taxi for short distance. Couldn't really say anything which we don't like about the hotel.

  Good breakfast, excellent staff! Nice area, the didi couldn’t find the location so we had to walk a little bit.

They can also provide detailed and practical travel route planning according to the purpose and needs of guests' trips, as well as recommendations for attractions and special cuisine worth visiting nearby, which brings great convenience to guests' trips.

  Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk staff warmly presented our child with a cute little gift, instantly lifting their spirits. The transportation is also very convenient, with many attractions suitable for family outings nearby. The staff are enthusiastic and attentive, providing meticulous care from check-in to departure.
